Course Outcomes :

B.Sc.I : Semester – I :

Paper – I : Biodiversity of Microbes, Algae and Fungi.

Paper – II : Biodiversity of Archegoniate.

1.     Developing interest in diversity of plants like Algae, Fungi, Bryophytes, Pteridophytes and Gymnosperms.

2.     Developing the practical skills of identification of lower plants.

3.     Creating interest in industrial applications of Cryptogams, Pteridophytes and Gymnosperms.

B.Sc.I : Semester – II :

Paper – III: Plant Ecology

Paper – IV: Plant Taxonomy

1.     Understanding various aspects of ecology like ecological factors, plant communities and succession.

2.     Acquiring knowledge about ecosystem and various natural cycles present in the nature.

3.     Creating interest in naming the plants, botanical gardens and herbarias.

4.     Understanding the methods in classification of flowering plants.

 

B.Sc.II : Semester – III :

Paper – V: Embryology of Angiosperms

Paper – VI: Plant Physiology

1.     Acquiring basic knowledge about structural organization and embryological development in plants.

2.     Understanding biochemical, physiological mechanism in plants.

B.Sc.III : Semester – V : Paper : IX, X, XI, XII

                 Semester –VI: Paper  : XIII, XIV, XV, XVI  

1.     To develop skills in practical work, experiments and laboratory materials and equipments along with the collection and interpretation of scientific data to contribute the science.

2.     To understand scientific terms, concepts, facts, phenomenon and relationships.

3.     To provide practical experience to the students as a part of the course to develop to develop scientific ability for working in the field of research and other fields and to make them it for society.

4.     Imparting knowledge of horticulture and gardening.

5.     Acquiring knowledge about use of technology in botanical aspects like tissue culture, genetic engineering, nanotechnology etc.

6.     Capacity building  of students in starting their own business using the acquired skill.
